This instance of DMPonline is provided by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) to support you in preparing your Data Management Plan (DMP).
The VU Network Research Data Support (NeRDS) has developed guidance and example answers to help you complete the DMP questions. In addition, the DMP section of the VU Research Support Handbook provides general information about Data Management Plans, while this guide explains how to select the appropriate template for your project.
To use DMPonline, you must first create an account. Go to: https://dmponline.vu.nl
Click ‘Create account’ in the top right corner and complete the required fields. If you register using your VU or ACTA email address, you will be able to select “Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam” as your organisation. This is necessary to access the VU DMP templates. If you register using a private (non-VU/ACTA) email address, you will not be able to select Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as your organisation, and the VU templates will not be available. If you require access to one of the VU templates and are unable to select VU as your organisation, please contact rdm@vu.nl.
When creating an account with your VU email address, choose a strong password.
Please note: this password must not be your VUnet password.
After creating your account, you can link your institutional credentials using Single Sign-On (SSO). This allows you to log in using your VU credentials in the future. For more detailed instructions on creating your account and linking your institutional credentials. please consult the DMPonline page in the Research Support Handbook.
